Renaissance ideals. Pioneer spirit. Los Alamos, California

THE PLACE

Built in 1882. Restored with nothing new.

Heritage House sits half a block from the legendary 1880 Union Hotel on Los Alamos’ only main street — a town that has always known who it is. Inside these walls: original stained glass, hand-carved woodwork, art collected from lifetimes, music that finds its way into the rooms, and a gathering energy that hasn’t dimmed in 140 years

This isn’t a venue dressed up for the moment. It’s a home that believes in something — and you can feel it the second you walk through the door.

Come Stay.

Ten guests. Six rooms. One house alive with art, forgotten treasures imagined, and deliberate beauty.

Wake up in a room where every piece has a story. Lounge in the Swingers Lounge — a hanging bed, suspending time to give you permission to do nothing productive. Sit by the fire. Open a bottle of something biodynamic. Let the afternoon disappear.

Los Alamos is half a block in any direction. The world can wait.

Come Gather.

Intimate celebrations for up to 75 guests, with overnight accommodations for 10.

Heritage House is for the people who believe a gathering should feel like something — not just look like something. Artists, makers, musicians, conscious couples, and creative thinkers have all found their way here. Our preferred partners bring low-intervention wine, regenerative florals, and food sourced from local ranchers and farmers who care.

The house holds the energy. You bring the people

Gather Lightly. Live Fully

Heritage House runs on a simple set of beliefs: local over mass-produced. Creativity over trend. Reuse over disposal. Connection over performance. Music, beauty, and intentional living aren’t extras — they’re the whole point.

We restored this house with a “regenerative design” mindset: with reverence for what was here, and a refusal to replace character with convenience, to breath back in the conditions for real life and beauty. It now feels alive because it is alive — with history, with craft, with the good energy of all the people who made it happen, and that stay and celebrate here

The Regenerative Culinary Experience

To feed the soul.

Food is not an afterthought at Heritage House. It’s a philosophy served on a plate.

Our Regenerative Culinary Experience is an optional add-on package for events — a fully curated, turnkey feast built around the belief that what you eat, where it came from, and how it was raised matters. Every element is sourced with intention, every bite tells a story, and every guest leaves having tasted something they’ll want to talk about.

What’s Included

Regeneratively Raised Beef from Las Cumbres Ranch

Las Cumbres is a local regenerative ranch whose land management practices restore soil health, sequester carbon, and raise animals the way animals were meant to be raised. This is beef with a provenance worth knowing.

Biodynamic Wines by Demetria

One of the most formidable biodynamic winemakers in the Santa Ynez Valley — wines made with deep reverence for the land, the seasons, and the life force of the vine.

Zero-Proof Options by GlasRose

For guests who don’t drink, GlasRose offers sparkling zero-proof options that belong at the table — no afterthought mocktails, just something genuinely beautiful in the glass.

Seasonal Chef-Driven Menus

Our trusted local chefs build every menu around what’s in season — sourced from the abundance of Santa Ynez Valley’s farmers markets that week. No fixed menus. No shortcuts. Just food that is alive with the moment.

This is what regenerative hospitality tastes like. And your guests will be spreading the gospel before the night is over.
